Saturday we went with some friends to "A Day Out with Thomas" at the Kentucky Railway Museum. We didn't really know how to prepare Wesley for what he was going to experience, but he was excited about going to see Thomas and Sir Topham Hatt. He has a little friend named Brody with whom he got to enjoy it all. Saturday was probably the hottest day in Kentucky this summer. It was really hot and humid, so we had some sweaty red-faced boys running around, but it really didn't seem to phase them much. Curtis got his first experience of drinking water from a water bottle. He was especially a good sport with the heat, but I was pretty concerned with how much he sweat for a little baby!
The highlights of my day definitely included seeing Wesley's face when Thomas pulled up to the station. A huge smile appeared across his face and he started running and dancing toward him saying, "Hey, Thomas! Hey!! Mommy, that's Thomas! Hey, Thomas! What are you doing?" He had a similar reaction to Sir Topham Hatt, but he was of course disappointed that Mr. Hatt wouldn't say anything.
