February

February was a busy month with some field trips (I went with each boy about two weeks apart to see a modernized Peter Pan play at Casa Manana), Night to 

Shine, and Curtis' Cub Scout Blue and Gold Banquet.

We met Granddad, Golly, and Kevin and Sarah's family at Rodeo Goat for burgers and then popsicles and corn hole at Steel City Pops. It was a beautiful day for January.

December 2017 Shots

Just before Christmas break, Wesley got to be the "Soloist of the Day" at school. He played "Star Wars," "Boogie Blues," "Detective Sprinkles" (written by Wesley), and a few others during dismissal in his school's foyer.

The boys did well in their Christmas piano recital. Curtis played "Ode to Joy" for his solo and Wesley played "Star Wars," "Chinese Dragon," and "Detective Sprinkles" for his solos. They also played a few songs as a group. They were in the same class this year because there weren't other kids in Curtis' age group taking lessons. He did great with the older kids!

And last but not least: JOHN MARK GRADUATED WITH HIS PH. D!

Unfortunately, Curtis woke up with the stomach bug on the morning of graduation, so I missed the entire thing to stay home with him. :( John Mark's whole family was in attendance, including a surprise appearance from Paul who traveled in from Maine!! Misha and GinGin also came. Paul was brave enough to stay at our house and got to meet Evie, and I think he even avoided the stomach junk.
