One beautiful Saturday in late January, we went down to a creek to enjoy the outdoors together.

Wesley's Stockyards Field Trip

On January 26, Wesley's class took a field trip to the Fort Worth Stockyards. This was a field trip first for us. We didn't get to see as many animals as we thought we would, but the kids got to learn a lot about agriculture and pet a few cute animals.

Christmas 2016

Our Family Christmas

Our little family Christmas was on the morning of Christmas Eve. We did stockings and then the boys got to open their big present - their first real Nerf guns! Wesley and Curtis bought each other gifts this year. Wesley got Curtis Pokemon cards and Curtis got Wesley a mini Captain America with motorcycle Lego set. In the evening, we went to the Christmas Eve candlelight service at our church.

John Mark's Family Celebration

Everyone came to our house for John Mark's side of the family gathering. There was a lot of outside playing, eating, and fellowship.

My side of the family got together at Mimi's house. Lela's family couldn't come since they had just been here for Thanksgiving, so it was small but good. We ordered in barbecue. The boys got robots from Misha and GinGin. Wesley got Chip and Curtis got BB8 from Star Wars. Both were much appreciated by robot-loving boys. Evie got a soft stuffed bunny. Mimi loves to have visitors, and it is always good to come see her.
