Our first Christmas get-together was with Colin & Lela's family, Misha & Gin-Gin, and Mimi, Debbie, Kristen, and Eric. We gathered at our house this year since it would be easier on Mimi to not have a house full of people. We had just our family's gift exchange the night before Mimi and family came up.

Mimi, Debbie, Kristen, and Eric arrived around lunch time on Christmas Day. We had a laid back time with my boys loving having Kristen and Eric around to put their new Lego sets together.

The day after Christmas, we went to the Kimball for the Impressionist show. Mimi was able to see and hear the audio tour pretty well, so she enjoyed it. Wesley loved getting to see the Van Gogh paintings since he has been studying him in art at school. Everyone left after a yummy dinner at Torchy's Tacos. Colin and Lela left for Abilene with Misha and Gin-Gin, but we waited until the next day to let our coughing boys have a good night's rest at home.
In Abilene, we had a good time with no real schedule. We played Quelf one night, went to the park one sunny afternoon, and even had a family-wide ping pong tournament on the last night.

Colin and Lela came back to our house to spend one more night since they were flying out of Dallas. They left in the morning, and the next crew (John Mark's family) started arriving around 2:00 that afternoon, which was New Year's Eve. Kevin thought it was important to open 2014's Christmas gifts in 2014, so we had our Christmas that evening. :)
