Curtis' 9th Birthday Party!

Once again, Curtis chose a swimming party for his birthday. He had one of his crazy coughs, but he didn't let that stop him from having a great time with his buddies. He had a Pokemon theme. Everyone got some Pikachu ears and a little bag of chocolate. Wesley even contributed to the decorations by making a Snorlax hand puppet.

I can't believe Curtis is 9! Last year of the single digit...We love you so much Curtis! You keep us laughing every day. You are such a joy!

Halloween 2018

For Halloween, Wesley was Ron Weasley from Harry Potter, Curtis was Dan Cahill from 39 Clues (a book series he has really liked), and Evie was Jessie from Toy Story. We did our usual stop at our church's Trunk or Treat where the kids played games and got tons of candy, of course. Then, we went to a nearby neighborhood to meet up with one of Wesley's friends whose siblings had all dressed up as Harry Potter characters. But they didn't have a Ron Weasley! They had a good time trick-or-treating in the neighborhood together.

San Antonio Trip and other October Pics

In early October, we traveled to San Antonio for the boys' fall break. John Mark had class in San Antonio on the Monday of their break, so we thought it would be fun to go on a little trip there (instead of him flying) and he could still teach class. On the way down, we stopped in Waco to eat at Jake's Tea House. We stayed at a little apartment we found on Airbnb where the boys had their own room. Staying there was probably the boys' favorite part. Especially when John Mark brought donuts back one morning to eat in the little kitchen. We also found the "world's largest cowboy boots," but we're not so sure about that. We got to use our season passes to go to Fiesta Texas, which all the kids enjoyed. While JM's class met, the kids and I did a little shopping and we all ate at a yummy Mexican food place for lunch before heading home. We had a nice little getaway.
