Today is Wesley's actual 4th birthday, but we had celebration #1 two weekends ago so we could celebrate with Mimi (her 90th birthday was yesterday). This was at least her second celebration, but when you turn 90, I think you get to celebrate as many times as you want.
My parents brought a nice bbq meal for lunch that was yummy. My Aunt Debbie and her kids, Kristen and Eric also came from Austin, and they were extremely helpful in getting everything together.
Wesley wanted a Little Einsteins cake this year, and I did not feel the inspiration to try to make one at all. We got one from HEB. I dropped it. It actually made it out surprisingly well, thankfully.
Wesley got a Cars bicycle from Misha and Gin-Gin along with a Cars helmet from Mimi. We exchanged the helmet for one that fit his noggin a little better, but it's still red and black to match his bike.
Curtis made a pretty good haul too, even though it was Wesley's birthday.
That evening, after Mimi, Debbie, Kristen and Eric took a field trip to the Kimbell Art Museum, we all went for pizza at Texas Royal. Then we came back to the house for a second round of cake (requested by Mimi) and visited. It was a good day. We still have one more celebration to go with JM's family (they were unable to come to this one).
