We took a trip to Austin to see Mimi the first weekend of May. She has been fighting an eye infection following a surgery on her right eye. We went down to keep her company and help out with administering her eye drop antibiotics every 2 hours. She was mostly upbeat, but slept a lot of the time we were there. We also had some nice time with Sarah. We went out for burgers on Saturday afternoon at P. Terry's with Mimi and Sarah, then went back to Mimi's to sit outside and chat. We watched the Spurs game with Sarah that evening.
On Sunday, we went to church with Mimi and then out to lunch at Luby's, Mimi's favorite. We stayed at Mimi's long enough to get one more round of eye drops in and then headed home when she looked ready for a good nap. The boys loved playing in the backyard, and they were sweet with Mimi. They were happy to bring her things and help her find things she needed.
