June - Kickoff of Summer!

SUMMER!!! I was so ready for the end of school this year. We have had such a great time this summer. We didn't do anything really big since John Mark was still finishing his dissertation, but we did a lot of things around the area. Time spent at home is always my favorite anyhow.

We had more rain than usual at the beginning of the summer. It became routine for the boys to run outside as soon as they heard rain (and no lightening/thunder) and jump on the trampoline. They are convinced they jump higher when the trampoline is wet. They mostly just get their daily wrestling needs met, honestly.

Evie loves to draw! She quietly goes to one of the boy's rooms and draws.

One of our POGO passes was to Mountasia, an indoor/outdoor recreation place. The boys chose to do go karts and arcade games as their activities. Curtis was too short to drive, but he loved tagging along with mom and dad!

We gathered at Kevin and Sara's house to celebrate Golly's birthday after church in mid-June. Great cousin and family time!

We went to Urban Air Trampoline Park for another of our POGO pass days. It was a fun way to burn some energy for the guys.

 I had a goal to paint our railings in the backyard this summer. I got a lot of the prep work done one afternoon while Evie played with a soaker ball and a pitcher of water. The boys had water guns.

VBS!

This year's VBS was called Maker Fun Factory. I did registration as usual and the boys had a wonderful time learning about the Bible, spending time with friends, and playing games.

 Swimming! We did lots of swimming this summer.
